An exceptional Iudaea Capta semis of Titus

Titus, 79-81. Semis (Orichalcum, 20 mm, 4.39 g, 7 h), uncertain mint in the East (in Thrace or Bithynia?), 80-81. IMP T CAESAR•DIVI VESPAS F AVG Laureate head of Titus to right. Rev. IVD - CAP / S - C Judaea, veiled and in attitude of mourning, seated to left under a palm tree, propping her head on her right hand; to right, helmet and shield. BMC 259 corr. (shield misdescribed as yoke and omitting helmet). Cohen 112. RIC 504 corr. (shield misdescribed as yoke and omitting helmet). Rare and in exceptional condition for the issue, with a lovely green patina and a very sharp reverse. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, extremely fine.
